Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Firefly VPN (referred to as 'this Service' or 'we') collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when providing mobile and desktop VPN applications (the 'App'). We process data under a minimum-necessary principle and aim to keep service operation and user privacy clearly separated.
When you download, launch, or use the App, we may collect information necessary to operate the service, including device type, operating system, app version, connection status, crash logs, approximate region, and required account information. This data is used to: 1. recommend suitable nodes and routes; 2. analyze anonymized connection quality trends; 3. send important service, security, or account notices. Unless required to provide the service, we do not collect browsing records tied to VPN destinations.
We may use necessary third-party services, such as Google Play Services and Firebase, for crash analysis, notifications, or basic statistics. These partners may process data only within the scope required for those functions. Except for legal process, mandatory regulatory requirements, user or platform safety, or confidential service providers, we do not sell or share personally identifiable information with third parties. If you want to stop app data generation, uninstall the App through the standard process on your device.
User-provided data is retained while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterward. To cancel an account, delete personal information, or ask about data handling, contact the privacy team at [email protected]. The App is not intended for children under 13; if we discover accidental collection of such information, we will delete it as soon as practical. We protect user data through access control, transmission encryption, and internal permission management.
This Privacy Policy may be updated because of legal requirements, product features, or operational changes. We recommend checking this page regularly. Continued use of Firefly VPN after an update means you accept the revised policy. This policy is effective as of October 4, 2025. For privacy questions, contact us at [email protected].
